I think you’re asking what’s it like to be a nurse. If so, everything varies.
    Hours:
Hospital, usually 12 hour shifts, sometimes 8(like 7am-7pm)
    Doctors office, typical business hours
Home care, depends on the company

    School: What level?
LPN is completed in about a year-two years, depending on your prereqs and the college you attend.
RN, you have two choices, an associates or a bachelors. Associates take 2 years (typically), Bachelors are closer to 4. If you get your LPN first, you can find a transfer program and apply for a BSN program (bachelors of nursing).

Money obviously depends on your education level and specialty. Although in my area, associates recieve very similar wages to bachelor graduate. Again, that may vary depending on where you live.
Go to. You can type in all the different kinds of nurses and recieve a national or local average for the payrate. Here, they average around $56,000 a year, but I live in an area with a low cost-of-living, so the national is a bit higher.
This doesn’t include sign on bonuses, yearly bonuses, raises, or PTO.
Good luck! I’m not a nurse yet, but I’m a nursing assistant at a hospital and they are PAYING for my courses. :P

Nursing is a very good career to get into, it pays very well. They are always in demand, schooling can be expensive but at the end it will give u a rewarding career. Hours are crazy though you could work double shifts at times and they usually have work hours like 7-11, 11-7, 3-11. And if you dont like to study or your not good at math its probably not for you, but its definently worth looking into. U also can save money by going to a community college and not just a school for nursing.

Nursing is a very rewarding and yet exhausting career. Make sure that this is something you want to do. I’ve had many people who were in it for the money…..I don’t think it’s worth it and they didn’t make it byw. School was challenging and there were many sleepless nights but I made it with God’s help. I do love the fact that I work 12 hrs shift, 3 days a week and make more money that most of my friends even family. It’s a great opportunity! unless you are in L&B (most of the times anyways), you will be dealing with some of the lowest times for these patients. Just don’t forget to treat the human spirit and don’t get caught up with the job (IV, meds, admissions, coworkers who are burned out…etc. God bless!
