Your high school grades really dont matter. It all depends on how yo do on the Pre Entrance Test and passing your classes in Nursing school..
Good Luck

Generally in most cases high school courses don’t qualify for the pre-requisites you need to get into nursing school - unless your high school offered year-long or half-year condensed courses that were advanced placement levels. Biology and chemistry are the main two. Most schools require that these courses are college level however.
Every school has different admissions criteria, but most of the time you need to have completed a college level biology, chemistry, and anatomy & physiology. Some schools also require microbiology and nutrition.
If you go to a 4 year (bachelors degree) program, you would need to get admitted first to the university, and they will look at your SAT score, high school grades, etc. for admission to the general college. You would complete those aforementioned pre requisites in the science courses as well as other general education courses like English Comp, psychology, sociology, history, etc. during your Freshman and Sophomore year, then apply to the school’s nursing program during your sophomore year, and start the nursing courses your Junior year.
If you go to a 2 year (associates degree) program, you will need to find out their specific requirements and complete those pre-reqs before applying to their program.
Most nursing programs are very competative to get in, and the better grades you have the better chance you will have at getting admitted. Generally most schools have a requirement of a 2.75 or 3.0 GPA for admissions.

I just completed my first year of nursing so I was just going through this last year. For me I needed to take Biology and Chemistry and achieve a 65% or higher just to be considered. It was also manadatory that you take math (most commonly calculus/functions in grade twelve) I needed an average of 70% to be looked at and needed to take an english course (which I believe is mandatory in most english schools…). The higher your grades are the better your chance of receiving an admission, mine were quite high so I got an early acceptance - relieves A LOT of fears but I have some friends in nursing who had around 72-74% and were still accepted. Usually to get into a good university the cut off for marks is around 70-73%, if you are lower you can be put on a waiting list and if there are not enough students you get a spot. Good luck! Any more qquestions you can message me or ask again
P.S. I thought I would add that I’m in Canada so it may be different than other places. We also have to write the exam at the end of our four years which qualifies us to be RN’s but I believe you were just asking how to get into the general Bachelor of Science in Nursing (R.N.) Course.

You need to of at least graduated high school. A strong showing of science classes is a plus. If your grades weren’t great (like c’s), start at a community college. Then you can take your prerequisite classes like english, psychology, math, sciences, etc and work on getting your grades up before applying to the nursing portion of your education.
