Hey, I think that’s great what you did. You can tell the residents were enjoying it, and to have some kind of entertainment like that would mean alot to them, I bet.

Wow such wonderful hats.
My mother is also in a nursing home and I have made some hats there as well and everyone loved them.
I hope to make a video like that some time.
Can you post some tutorial tutorial videos on how to make those wonderful hats?

I think it wonderful that you value you talent more than money. I thought about doing a few nursing homes, but afraid of the balloons popping scaring some of the folks.
You make some really creative hats!

Addi - Great stuff! I’ve been twisting a while now and still my best experience has been twisting in nursing homes and orphanages. Things we take for granted can bring much joy!

Amen. My late Mom was in a good nursing home and I used to see so many lonely people who’s families didn’t come to visit them. It broke my heart, it really did. When I see things on the news about bad nursing homes it saddened me beyond belief. It’s very cheering to know that people like the balloon man, musicians and entertainers go to these places to visit and cheer these people.

Sometimes the people in nursing homes are forgotten about. As a future nurse, it is great to see people like this that go above and beyond to visit with them and to show them someone who cares, and can have a fun time with them.
