Yea, we can wear makeup and jewelry, but of course it can’t be over the top. The dresscode depends on the facility. Like there’s a hospital in the area that makes nurses wear all white all the time. They had a dress code at our hospital as far colors for different units, but it’s changed. Now we can wear whatever color we want.

Death is the part about nursing that scares me. While I love helping people…I **** seeing hurt, pain, sadness, just negative emotions period. Sorry that you had to go through that. What is the dresscode of a nurse?..Can we wear make up?..jewlery?.

Also I remember in 2003 I lost my grandmother 3 days before Christmas and it broke my heart knowing that she wasn’t gonna be home for Christmas again….I definetely feel your pain but remember nobody said life would be easy.

Lol @ Baleigh…she must just wanna look at the cam all day and show off her smile. Hey Baleigh! That’s the thing with most jobs rnstyle not just with nursing but you just gotta take the good with the bad and remember that it’s what you want to do for a living. Journalists (something I hope to become) work crazy hours including the holidays but it’s what I want to do. I hope Christmas was good for you and Baleigh. Have a Happy 2009!!

Aw so sweet. I wish I could give her a hug. I love her little button nose.

My dad is in the cardiac ICU he’s been there since the Saturday before Christmas. I’m thankful for nurses and doctors who miss time with their family in order to take care of other people’s family members.

Lol. I try to be nice to my ppl. I guess the last thing they would need is an ******* of a nurse.

My little “tater” had that cash register right beside her bed girl. And she was charging extra for some of the **** ppl wanted. She’d be like “oh, that going to be an extra $.15 if you want that silver there”. She was too funny.
